An Isreali company called Phinergy has created a technlogy that uses metal, air and water to power a vehicle. This metal air technology has been at the forefront of research for years because of its enormous potential for revolutionizing the world's use of energy.
Since 2008, Phinergy, benefiting from more than a decade of academic research at Bar-llan University near Tel Aviv, has been sucessfully developing this technologyby utilizing the energy stored in metal.
Phinergy batteries create enegy by combining aluminium and ambient air with water. The difference between this vehicle and the usual electric vehicle is comparabel to a scuba diver who must carry his oxygen tank and a fish which is able to utilize the oxygen contained in water by breathing through its gills.
Because of the unique nature of this technology, the battery is immmunse to CO2-related problems, which, according to Phinergy, has been the leading cause ofmetal-air battery failure in the past.
This new technology may well change the way we lead our daily lives it poses other applications apart from transportation like energy storage and consumer electronics.
For the future vehicle owner, one of the most attractive aspects of this vehicle is the fact that instead of having to refuel with PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) at a filling station, all you need do is refuel at any neighbourhood water tap! Water, being a widely available resource gives these cars a range that is virtually unlimited, making them very cost efficient.

These vehichles may just be on our roads sooner tahnk you think. Fossil fuels and all the political conflicts associated with it may just be not worth all the trouble in the nearest future.
